The UWI School of Nusing (UWISON) in collaboration with the Jamaica Midwives Association, and the International Conferation of Midwives, proudly presents The 3rd Americas RegionalConference.
The Conference will be held on 27-28 May 2010 at the Jamaica Conference Centre in Kingston, Jamaica. An opening and welcoming reception will be on the evening of the 26th at the UWISON Courtyard, Mary J. Seivwright Buliding, 9 Gilbraltar Camp Way, UWI, Mona Campus starting at 5:30pm.

NOTICE
Up to this time the Conference is still on.The venue has been changed from downtown to the UWI School of Nursing located on the UWI, Mona Campus. Please follow the advisory from your respective country regarding travel.
Updates will be provided from on a daily basis. The conference has started with the Educators workshop 25-26 May.

Aims of the Conference are to:
- provide professional enrichment and development through continuing education
- Share current evidence-based knowledge and developments in nursing and midwifery practice
- Provide a forum to facilitate discourse among nursing and midwifery practitioners.
- Engage midwifery educators in current evidence based workshops to enhance scholarship and practice
- Identify a collaborative network among nursing and midwifery clinicians and educators to improve the quality of health care.
